More spastic updating
1) I really need to swap out my LJ icons.

2) I took my glasses to get the lenses replaced so I'm wearing the ones from 7th or 8th grade, whenever it was. The astigmatism has changed a lot so using them for regular vision and distance would give me a headache, but they help to read. I'm a bit worried about this for the next couple of days, b/c...

3) I have a job! I'm working before and after school at an elementary school program. I know it may seem like an odd choice for me, but I like kids at that age and I needed something for a bit of extra money. The people running the program seem really nice. Of course, I'm going to have to meet all these kids semi-blind. Hmm. (

4) My scales and martini shaker came in today. I was going to do brownies and martinis tonight, and I think I still will but just one of each, since I need to be up by 5:30 tomorrow. At least I can come home and sleep afterwards, a luxury I won't have after this week. I'm also a bit concerned about working mornings since I'll need to take my backpack to school and I wouldn't normally bring a computer to a job that involves small children running around. Hopefully there's somewhere safe I can put it.
